I've always enjoyed helping others, and I've taken every opportunity I've had in my career to help students understand things that I knew well. As a Spanish tutor, I understand where students often trip up, and I have strategies to address those learning obstacles. I'm currently attending the University of New Mexico, where I study for my bachelor's degrees in history and Spanish. I am bilingual in Spanish and English, and I'm skilled in helping students understand the mechanics of either language. I believe that my base of knowledge in the language and my propensity for keeping up with teaching modalities and techniques means that I can help any student develop proficiency in the Spanish language. I believe that language learning is an exceptional skill to develop in the modern world but is becoming more globalized every day. I also make it a priority to help students figure out how they learn most effectively so that they learn how to learn on their own in the long run. When I have spare time, I enjoy learning things that I am interested in for fun. I also like to do yoga and cardiovascular exercise, live a healthy lifestyle, study American Latino and Latin American history, and support the environment.
